David Kelly Laura Carr Have No Shame comedy Edinburgh Fringe 2011

David Kelly and Laura Carr Have No Shame

So You Think You’re Funny finalist Laura Carr and David Kelly have embarrassed themselves for years. Now they want to come clean…

David Kelly and Laura Carr, two excellent and original comics, take a look at ‘shame’ – should our embarrassing exploits remain private, or should we shout them from the rooftops?

David Kelly is a fine and funny stand-up whose jokes are on the intelligent side of stupid. But only just. He has been performing stand-up for as long as he can remember (about three years), and has performed at venues all over Britain, including the Comedy Store, Banana Cabaret, and a host of dingy rooms above, and occasionally below, pubs. David returns to Edinburgh for the third year following his debut “Afternoon Tea”, one of Scotland on Sunday’s Top Ten Free Fringe shows, and last year’s hugely successful follow-up and Scotsgay Editor’s Choice, “Obsession”.

Laura Carr is a comedian, actress and writer whose youthful charm and no-holds-barred material have made her a firm favourite on the UK stand-up circuit. In 2010, Laura was the only female finalist in the So You Think You’re Funny comedy competition. In addition, she performed in “Funny Peculiar”, a three-hander stand up show at the Edinburgh Fringe festival, alongside talented young comedians Lindsay Sharman (Funny Women finalist) and Paul Duncan McGarrity.

“Top 10 Free Show” Scotland on Sunday

“Editor’s Choice” Scotsgay

“Brimming with confidence, an energetic delivery that instantly appeals” Chortle

“Brilliant ballsy humour from a sassy young lady” Nicky Harley, The Sun
